Ladies Fellowship 2023.09.10 Handout

The Gospel of the Grace of God:

Mankind’s Problem Sin: By our nature, we are all helpless sinners. As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:10 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God: Romans 3:23

Mankind’s Penalty Death: Being separated from God forever. For as in Adam all die… 1 Corinthians 15:22a; For the wages of sin is death... Romans 6:23a

God’s Only Solution–Eternal Life: The Lord Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin through His Shed Blood. …But the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23b … Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: I Corinthians 15:3-4 …even so in Christ shall all be made alive. I Corinthians 15:22b

Mankind’s Only Two Choices:

  1. Believe, by faith alone that Christ died for your sins. …In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise... Ephesians 1:12-14

OR

Not believe, and pay for your own sins eternally in the Lake of Fire, which burns with fire and brimstone. – Revelation 21:8

Make your choice for eternal life today, before it is everlastingly too late!

…on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus

Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence

of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 2Thessalonians 1:7-10

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; Philippians 1:27

The Preaching of Jesus Christ According To The Revelation of the Mystery – Romans 16:25-26

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

All scripture references are from the Authorized King James Bible, our Final Authority!

For what saith the scripture? … Romans 4:3

WHAT BECOMETH A SAINT?

Conversation

Becometh: means to begin to “be” … becoming clear that you are in a completely new situation. For example, no longer In Adam but In Christ.

Sanctified: is an act of God’s Grace to set free and set apart to live holy unto God in a sin-cursed world.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, … I Corinthians 1:2

Conversation: means manner of life or behavior also defined as citizenship

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation … I Peter 3:1-2

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, … Philippians 3:20-21

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: …

THE WORD OF GOD* IS THE POWER OF GOD* THAT DOES THE WORK OF GOD

WORD OF GOD WORKS WHEN SAINTS BY FAITH BELIEVE IT (I THESSALONIANS 2:13)

Saints have a new identity In Christ, which enables Saints to live lives that bring forth fruit to God’s Glory and grow to become Faithful Saints.

Note: Spiritual Growth comes in “time.” To taste of the grace of God is one thing; to be established in it and manifest it in character, habit and regular life, is another. Fruit ripens slowly; days of sunshine and days of storm each add their share. Blessing will succeed blessing and storm follow storm before the fruit is full-grown or comes to maturity. (Miles Stanford)

ROMANS CHAPTER 6: SAINTS ARE DEAD TO SIN & ALIVE UNTO GOD

PRACTICAL POINTS: Wisdom is the best application of knowledge and understanding

  • Saints are not their flesh (Adam) old man IS crucified Romans 6:1-23

  • Stop identifying yourself with your flesh; he that is dead is free from sin

  • Identify with your new man (Christ) that has been created in righteousness and true holiness Ephesians 4:21-24

ROMANS CHAPTER 7: SAINTS ARE DEAD TO THE LAW & ALIVE UNTO GOD

PRACTICAL POINTS: Saints cannot live the grace life under the law operating in their flesh (what you do or not do (O wretched man) Romans 7:1-25

  • Only Christ can live his life through you when you trust his word, not I but Christ Galatians 2:20-21

  • During the trials and tribulations of life, search God’s word for the answer and then choose to believe what saith the scripture.

  • First marriage had problems (Adam/Eve) all marriages have problems

  • First family had problems (Cain/Abel) all families have problems

    • Good News – Jesus Christ shed his blood and covered all of the hurt that others have done to us and all of the hurt that we have done to others. Ephesians 4:32 Forgiveness!

  • Made wrong decision and responded in your flesh? Recovery formula is:

    • Here is what I did. Here is what I should have done. Next time I will do ______ and then move on Philippians 3:13-14

ROMANS CHAPTER 8: SAINTS ARE ALIVE UNTO GOD BY GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

PRACTICAL POINTS: Relax, Rejoice, Rest – our Saviour “got us!” Romans 8:1-39

  • There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I Corinthians 10:13

  • Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6

  • For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:13

  • Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

  • Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:19

  • For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, Colossians 2:9-10
